About the Event On 8th–9th of August, 2013, International Eurasian forum TAXI will take place in Saint-Petersburg.

Taxi business is one of the most complicated types of entrepreneurship considering normative regulation. On the territory of the Eurasian space member states a long-lasting project of forming adequate legislation fundament has recently been launched. As a result along with the value of reforming there were a large number of issues appeared that is demanding efficient.

In such conditions international experience of taxi transfers organization and regulation is becoming more and more valuable and vital. Many countries of the European Union has recently overcome that stage of chaotic market and managed to work out understandable and effective «game rules». That is why International Eurasian forum «TAXI» is urged to become a unique discussion platform on the post soviet space which will gather representatives of the professional society and interested audience and help them to speculate upon advanced experience and show efficient solutions towards challenges in the face of taxi industry of the Eurasian states.

The main topics of the Business progamme of the Forum are to be: international experience in organizing taxi transfers, Eurasian practice in normative regulation in the sphere of taxi business, federal and regional legislation improvement, a place of taxi business intransportation sector of the modern megalopolis, manufacturing specialized automobile platforms for taxis, information technologies and financial instruments of taxi business development.

Within the Forum an exhibition devoted to the newest samples of specialized taxi equipment, taxi automobile platforms, information technologies and financial services demonstration will be organized.

A significant place in the Business programme of the Forum will be featured to the discussion of mostly vital issues of the Russian taxi industry, such as taxi autopark colour unification, fight with illegal transfers, absence of the necessary infrastructure, manpower provision for the industry.

Forum «TAXI» will be supported and participated by the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation; the National Taxi Council, International Road and Transport Union (IRU); Eurasian Economic Commission, Ministry on Transport of the Russian Federation, profile bodies of executive power of more than 40 regions of Russia, representatives of commercial and non-profit organizations from 10 foreign states.

The main result of Forum’s activities will be the resolution with solutions and recommendations that are to be sent to profile committees of the upper and lower houses of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, ministries and departments, Open Government for legislation perfection and governmental regulation in taxi operation sphere.

Among those who are invited there are taxi companies, taxi operation control centres, automobile manufacturers, specialized equipment producers and software developers, leasing and financial organizations, insurance companies, driver training centres, automobile components and chemicals producers, automobile service providers and gasoline retail stations, medical institutions, advertising and marketing agencies.
