Arctic agenda calls Russian regions together

Arctic agenda of IV International Forum “The Arctic: today and the Future” which will take place on 10-11 November under the aegis of trans-regional noncommercial organization will call participants from more than 30 regions together. Numerous delegations including regional authorities, business and noncommercial organizations representatives make their suggestions about Russian Arctic zone development.

Federal subjects representatives will participate in agendas formation for regional polar commissions which contribute to formation of social and economic development basis for Polar  regions of our country. Arctic agenda is up-to-date for many Russian regions which deliver or ready to deliver their technologies, equipment and stuff. Nowadays Polar commissions are created under local administrations. They help authorities and business to cooperate on a range of issues concerning Arctic zone development. Such commissions have already been created in St-Petersburg and Murmansk region. In Nenets Autonomous Area and the Arkhangelsk Region such commissions are at the end of formation process. Authorities of several other regions are also pay attention to creation of such body in their systems. Republic of Crimea which has no geographic proximity with Arctic zone actively contributes to Arctic zone development by realizing of social and economic potential of their region.

The main result of the forum will be a resolution with proposals and recommendations which will be directed to local authorities to advance the legislation in sphere of Arctic development.
