Taxi industry lacks professionals

With the collapse of the USSR a centralized system of professionals training for taxi industry was abolished. Today in Russia, as well as on the whole post soviet space, there is no any institutional educational basis and also legislation securing of the necessary range of competence and skills required for a taxi-driver.

Any market actor – a large taxi company or a small individual entrepreneurship – will inevitable face the problem of manpower provision. Recruitment for taxi – is a serious term of business development. Company image, success and, of course, profit depends on drivers’ competence, because there is an order for raising the quality of services provided from ordinary customers to profile state governmental bodies. Nowadays every entrepreneur has to solve this problem by his own means.

Topics for solving that issue, instruments for raising service quality and their efficiency as well as issues of developing corporate culture in taxi industry will serve one of the guidelines for a discussion section «Solving manpower issues as an approach of raising quality of the services provided», that is to be hold on the second day of the Forum.
