About the event

On 3rd- 4th of October 2013 the VI International Conference «Transport and Transit Potential» will take place in Saint-Petersburg within the «UNITED RUSSIA» Party Project «Saint-Petersburg – the Sea Capital of Russia».

Russia, possessing a great territory, is aimed to perfectly realize its resources as a country where Eurasian routes are intercrossed. Transport infrastructure is being established, legislation base is being improved and freight transfers market is developing. However the level of Russia’s transportation system remains insufficiently developed for maintaining modernization of separate economy sectors and international relations development and also within the WTO and Common economic space of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. 

Annually issues hampering the successful development of transportation sector are being discussed within the conference «Transport and Transit Potential». This year audience’s attention is traditionally paid to issues of cargo transfers by all means of transport. Severally issues of cargo supply chains managing, outsourcing of logistics services and optimization of logistics expenses will be also considered. Issue of decreasing transport component in the ultimate product cost is to be considered from the cargo owners’ and transport company’s point of view. One of the key topic of discussion is bound to be customs procedures simplification while transferring freight through the border of the Russian Federation and Customs Union. The special role in the programme is to be taken by the issues of establishing transport infrastructure, financing infrastructure projects, State-Private partnership institute development, as well as opportunities to rail rolling stock park renovation.

The Conference will be supported and participated by the Federation Council of the FA RF, State Duma of the FA RF, Ministry of Transport of the RF and other profile ministries and agencies.

It is expected that in 2013 the conference will be attended approximately by 500 delegates from federal and regional governmental bodies, commercial and non-profit organizations of Russia, neighboring countries and beyond.

The Conference will be resulted in resolution with proposals and recommendations which will be directed to the profile committees of the Upper and Lower Chambers of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, ministries and agencies, Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, Open Government in order to improve the legislative base and the system of state regulation of transport field.

To participate at the Conference we invite cargo owners, transport and logistics companies, subjects of transport and logistics infrastructure, transport manufacturing enterprises, project and building organizations, leasing, consulting, financial and insurance companies.
